Lighting of the VILLAGE

Welcome the holiday season with a breathtaking tree lighting surrounded by festive performances from local talent. Experience the arrival of Santa and mingle with friends and family over a warm cup of cocoa. Lake Oconee Village businesses have partnered with area non-profit organizations to decorate trees. The trees are called the “VILLAGE Trees For A Cause” and will be displayed at the Lighting of the VILLAGE the evening of November 24 for event attendees to view.  The trees will be auctioned off in a silent auction with proceeds from the auction benefiting various non-profit organizations. Sure to capture the spirit of the holidays, this event will without a doubt become a Lake Oconee family tradition. The magic of the Lighting of the Village starts at 7:00pm and the event is free to the community.

 

3rd Annual VILLAGE Jingle Bell Run

10am • 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

10:30am • 5K Run 

Saturday, November 27 will be the series’ final event with the 3^rd Annual VILLAGE Jingle Bell Run. (5k Run & 1mi. Family Fun Run) The Village Jingle Bell Run has become a lake area favorite bringing together children of all ages. Don bells and Santa hats for a unique holiday experience while keeping fit throughout the holidays.
